​IZANAMI

IZANAMI is one of the Japanese goddesses.She gave birth to all Japanese islands and gods.

This animation is about her in Japanese mythology,but It's not like traditional  Japanese image we have.We are influenced by many different cultures.

I made it for a 3rd year project in the univeraity I attended.I directed,animated and edited the entire piece alone. Before I started making the short film, I have reserched and wrote a 12,000 word thesis in Japanese
about Ghibli, Jean Giraud and Shintoism for 6 mothes.
I gave a presentation for the research as part of the project.
